1 Background


    TILVA (Testing & Inspection Station for Low Voltage Apparatus ) was established in 1958. TILVA was first recognized as Low –voltage electrical apparatus certifying and testing station by CCEE. In 1991, TILVA became the international accreditation laboratory which can prepare CB test reports independently and the recognized laboratory of TUV. In 1995, TILVA took part in UL data exchange laboratory and climate environment laboratory. In August 2004, our station passed the CB reassessment and scope extension, and became the recognized laboratory of CSA.

2 Business Scope
    The business scope of TILVA is about 10 types, such as 3C certification; CQC Voluntary certification; CB test, CE certification; National quality supervision spot test; Arbitration test for disputes on the quality of products; Assumption or attendance of institution and revision for standards, test guides and quality management documents; Research and development of test methods, test techniques and special test equipments; Consultation service on quality system certification and other related activities and services; Technical cooperation with foreign testing and inspection institutes; Conduct tests, inspection and goods examination service on low-voltage electrical apparatus home and abroad on a commission basis etc.

3 Test Capacity

    At present, TILVA has 12 capacity test projects , such as AC short-circuit making and breaking capacity test , including 200kA、50kA、30kA and 10kA five kinds ; DC short-circuit making and breaking capacity test ; Electrical endurance test ; 50/60Hz general characteristic test ; Operating limits test ; Trip characteristic test ; Motor protect test ; dielectric properties test ; Mechanical performance test ; climate and environment laboratory and so on.


4 Scope of authorization and recognition standards
    Scope of authorization and recognition standards certificated by CNAL:
    Low-voltage switches & control device(GB14048 series); Low-voltage switchgear assembly and control device(GB7251 series); Residual current operated breaker(GB16916 GB16917 series); Residual current operated protective device(GB6829); Overcurrent protective breaker(GB10963 series); Low-voltage fuse(GB13539 series); Breakers for equipment(GB17701); Environment test(GB2423 series), Socket-outlets (GB2099 series); Contactors for household and similar purposes(GB17825),etc.

    UL489 Molded-Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), Molded-Case Switches, and Circuit-Breaker Enclosures;
    UL512 Standard for Fuseholders;
    UL943 Standard for Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupters
    UL547 Standard for motor overheated
    In short, TILVA has 48 years’ history, and also has 48 years Low Voltage Apparatus’ testing and inspection experience. Our station has enough equipment and managing experience. So it assures our inspection tests’ safety and accuracy. Our station has established good testing quality assurance system of Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear according to ISO/IEC 25. We always insist on fair、scientific and accurate. And we always do our best to offer good service for domestic and foreign clients.
